Our Story

Vivid Agenda was conceived when two journalists decided to pool their talents and help raise the writing bar with a high-quality storytelling and selling service. We ghost write books (we’ve published four so far) and help all kinds of businesses to communicate, from security firms to relationship therapists.

If you want some expert, first class writing, you’re in the right place. Make yourself at home, read our blog, and have a look around to see what we have done for other clients. Don’t forget to tell us how we can help tell your story.

Ruth Devlin is a highly experienced and versatile writer and blogger. She worked as a journalist for over 20 years, covering all sectors – newspapers, magazines, TV, radio and online. A poacher by temperament, she turned gamekeeper and began working in public relations seven years ago. She specialises in health and social issues and with her Vivid Agenda business partner has co-written and edited two published books. ‘Warrior’ by Captain Tam Henderson is a true story of bravery and betrayal in the Iraq War. ‘Wild Waters in the Roar’ by Mike Noel-Smith tells how two men fought against the odds to row across the Indian Ocean. Ruth was born in Scotland, and now lives near Manchester. She has three daughters and is one Moggie short of being a cat lady.

John Hunt’s love of stories began when he was four, listening to his mum’s memories of rural Galway. Following a decade as a street campaigner, John began to travel the world in pursuit of global stories. He has written about the fall of apartheid in South Africa, curfews in Kashmir, child labour in Pakistan, plague in India, Nike in Indonesia, courage in Colombia, healthcare in Venezuela and the election of Bolivia’s first indigenous president. He has also managed and edited major websites, including ones for stockbroker Charles Schwab Europe, the Medical Defence Union Ltd and the UK government’s Disability Rights Commission. In 2008 he co-authored ‘Warrior’. As well as heading up Vivid Agenda, he is a business communications consultant. Born in London, John lives in Manchester where he is making the elixir of life.
